I'm the founder and owner of Belle Inn & Studios, a restorative lodging concept designed for people who need more than just a place to stay—they need a place to truly rest.

As a Registered Respiratory Therapist with degrees in Respiratory Therapy and Health Sciences, I've spent more than 30 years helping people navigate health, disability, work, and life transitions. My career has included direct patient care, healthcare leadership, disability and leave management, workplace accommodations, executive coaching, and advocacy.

​

I was honored to be recognized as Specialty Practitioner of the Year by the American Association for Respiratory Care and held multiple leadership positions within the Maine Society for Respiratory Care, where I advocated for respiratory health and healthcare policy initiatives. Later, I led large-scale disability, leave, and workplace accommodation programs for major employers and insurers, helping thousands of individuals remain connected to meaningful work while managing health challenges.

My professional experience is complemented by my own journey with complex PTSD, persistent post-concussion symptoms, chronic migraines, and neurovisual conditions. Years of navigating healthcare systems, inaccessible environments, exhausting travel, and the realities of living with both visible and invisible disabilities have given me a unique perspective on what people truly need in order to recover, recharge, and feel comfortable.

Belle Inn & Studios brings together my clinical training, leadership experience, advocacy work, and lived experience to create a space centered on calm, quiet, rest, and belonging. Through the development of The Quiet Comfort Standard™, I'm working to reimagine hospitality for travelers who are often overlooked—including caregivers, healthcare travelers, people with disabilities, those recovering from illness or burnout, and anyone seeking a gentler travel experience.

When I'm not designing guest experiences, I enjoy my cats, crafting, collecting family stories, and preserving the legacy of the women whose warmth and hospitality inspired Belle Inn & Studios.
